Trojan Dog
No. 7 Fire Station
1742 Memorial Ave. SW

Materials: Marine plywood and marine paint.

Ann Glover was inspired by small Japanese wood carvings in the creation of Trojan Dog, but included the #7 medallion in a nod to this fire station location. Glover has exhibited extensively throughout the U.S. and her work is held in the collections of J.P. Morgan Chase, Capital One Bank and Mentor Corp. In 2010 she was awarded a professional fellowship by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Her sculpture "Childhood Totem" was installed in the Port of San Diego "Urban Trees 7."
